The Canada West Hall of Fame was established in 2019 to highlight excellence in university sport across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.

The 2019-20 season marked the 100th anniversary of the first university sport championship in Western Canada, as the University of Manitoba captured the Western Canadian Intercollegiate Athletic Union (WCIAU) men's hockey title in 1919-20. To commemorate this historic milestone, 100 inductees were enshrined in the CW Hall of Fame during the 2019-20 season.
