BIOGRAPHY:


One of the most decorated athletes in Trinity Western University history, Regan Yee’s legacy is firmly etched into Canada West history following her induction into the Canada West Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2025–26.


A six-time Canada West team champion across cross country and track and field, Yee’s collegiate career laid the foundation for an elite international running career that has seen her represent Canada on the world’s biggest stages, including the World Athletics Championships, Pan American Games, and two Olympic Games.


Yee arrived at Trinity Western University on scholarship in 2013 and quickly established herself as one of the conference’s premier distance athletes. She earned Canada West Track and Field Rookie of the Year honours in 2013–14 and closed her university career by being named the conference’s Cross Country Athlete of the Year in 2017–18. Throughout her time with the Spartans, Yee was a driving force behind sustained team success while consistently excelling at the individual level.


Her impact extended nationally, helping Trinity Western teams earn multiple U SPORTS medals and securing several U SPORTS All-Canadian selections. Known for her competitive excellence, leadership, and commitment to academics, Yee exemplified the student-athlete standard of excellence that defines Canada West athletics.


Since graduating from Trinity Western in 2018, Yee has gone on to represent Canada internationally, competing at three World Athletics Championships (2019, 2022, 2023), the Lima 2019 Pan American Games, and the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Olympic Games. She specializes in the 3000-metre steeplechase, establishing herself as one of Canada’s premier distance runners.
